Lead with identity and role
The top of your athlete profile should read like a scouting line: name, class year, position, school, height, weight, and location. A recruiter should never have to scroll to learn what you play.
Make your stats verifiable
A number without context is noise. List the metric, the value, how it was measured, and where you land relative to your position group. Percentile context turns a raw time into an evaluation.
- check_circleSpeed and explosiveness: 40-yard dash, 10-yard split, vertical
- check_circleStrength: squat, bench, clean — with bodyweight ratio
- check_circleSport production: the two or three stats your position is judged on
Film is the profile
Put your three best plays in the first 20 seconds, label yourself on every clip, and keep the reel under five minutes. Link the full game film separately for coaches who want more.
Keep it live
A profile is a living document. Every PR, new reel, or academic update is a reason for a scout to revisit — and a reason for search engines to re-crawl your page.
