Find a running partner or local training group
The right running partner is a pace and a schedule, not a personality test. AthletiLink lets you search by pace range, usual distance and city — so easy runs stay easy and sessions stay honest.

How to find a running partner at your pace
Add your usual easy pace, your session pace and the distances you are training for. Pace is the filter that decides whether a partnership survives week two.
Then look for groups as well as individuals. Run clubs and training groups post their weekly schedule to the feed, and joining one group typically gets you three or four regular partners.

- Find run clubs and track groups near you
- See weekly session schedules in the feed
- Find coaches for race-specific training plans

Training groups and race build-ups
Long runs and interval sessions are the two workouts almost nobody does well alone. Search for a local training group with a matching goal race and you inherit a whole block's worth of company.
Coaches list their specialism — track, road, trail, returning from injury — so you can pick someone who has coached your exact situation.

Frequently asked questions
How do I find a running group near me?
Filter the directory to running in your city and look for club and group profiles, then check the feed for their weekly session posts. Most groups welcome drop-ins.
Can I find someone training for the same race?
Yes. Put your goal race and date on your profile and mention it in a feed post — shared build-ups are the most common way regular partnerships start here.
Is AthletiLink free?
Yes. Creating a profile, searching for players and teams near you, posting to the feed and messaging other members is free.
Can I browse before creating an account?
Yes. Profiles, the community feed and the member directory are all browsable without signing in. You only need an account to message, post or save people.
