Payments

Club payments: collect subs without chasing everyone twice

Chasing subs is the least popular job at any club, and almost all of it is caused by unclear amounts, unclear deadlines and out-of-date contact details. AthletiLink does not process payments — it removes the reasons chasing is needed.

What clubs get free

  • Public club page players can find in search
  • Player directory filtered by sport, position and location
  • Squad and group messaging with attachments
  • Tryout, fixture and fundraiser posts
  • Roster views with profiles and measurables

Why subs collection goes wrong

Three causes account for most late payments: the member never saw the message, the amount or deadline was ambiguous, or nobody followed up in a predictable rhythm.

A current member directory and one messaging thread per squad fixes the first. Writing the amount, the date and the method in the same sentence fixes the second. A fixed reminder schedule fixes the third.

  • One place where every member's contact details are current
  • Group threads so announcements reach the whole squad
  • Public event posts with cost stated up front
  • Link your own payment provider — we take no cut

What we do not do

AthletiLink is not a payment processor and never handles your club's money. Use whichever provider your treasurer already trusts and link it from your club page and event posts.

Step by step

  1. 01

Set one amount and one deadline

Per season or per month. Ambiguity is what creates chasing.

  2. 02

    Announce in the squad thread

Amount, deadline, method and who to ask, in one message.

  3. 03

    Remind on a schedule

One week before and on the day. Predictable beats frequent.

  4. 04

    Keep details current

Members maintain their own profiles, so messages actually arrive.

Frequently asked questions

Do you take a percentage of club payments?

No. AthletiLink does not process payments and takes no cut. You link your own provider and keep everything except that provider's fees.

Can we state fees publicly?

Yes, and you should. Clubs that publish membership costs on their page and event posts get fewer drop-offs after the first session.

Does it cost anything to run a club on AthletiLink?

No. Creating a club presence, posting to the feed, searching the member directory and messaging players is free. You never need a paid plan to recruit or communicate with your squad.

Can players find us without an account?

Yes. Club and athlete pages, the feed and the directory are all publicly browsable, so prospective players and parents can read about you before they sign up. An account is only needed to message, post or save people.
