• A named contact on site for every field

Scheduling against reality

Build the schedule from pitch hours backwards, not from the ideal bracket forwards. Add a five-minute buffer per fixture and one spare slot per group — one injury or one late team otherwise cascades across the entire day.

Communication beats software

Most complaints trace to information, not organisation: teams did not know the kickoff time, the tie-break rule or where to park. A single broadcast the night before and one the morning of removes the majority of them.
